Tom Moser

Tom Moser has 50 years of management and leadership experience in the aerospace public and private business sectors.

He was a senior executive at NASA having served as

• Acting Associate Administrator for Spaceflight in Washington, D.C.,
• Director of the Space Station Program
• Deputy Manager of the Space Shuttle Orbiter
• Chief Engineer at the Johnson Space Center.

In the area of economic development, he served as

• Vice President of the Kerrville Economic Development Corp.
• Vice President of Business Development for several large aerospace companies,
• Executive Director of the Texas Aerospace Commission.
• Board member for several corporations, and
• Board member of the Kerrville Airport

Moser has degrees in Mechanical Engineering – B.S. from the University of Texas (Austin), M.S. for The University of Pennsylvania; and doctoral studies at Rice University.  He is a retired professional engineer in Texas.

He has numerous national and international achievement awards, including

• Distinguished graduate of the University of Texas College of Engineering
• Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics
• Fellow of the International Aeronautics Association
• NASA Distinguished Engineering Medal
• NASA Distinguished Leadership Medal

Moser resided on his Kerrville, Texas ranch since 1997.  He was married 53 years (wife deceased). Moser and his second wife, Virginia, have four children and 10 grandchildren, and are very active in the community where Tom served as the County Commissioner.
