Douglas Pollock

Civil Engineer

Douglas Pollock is an Industrial Civil Engineer from the University of Chile. For over 10 years he has studied the science of climate change and the economics of climate/energy policies. In the field of energy, he has identified the irrationality of “renewable” energies as a means of reducing CO2 emissions, has proven the inevitable increase in electricity costs and pointed out the adverse consequences for Western economies that are increasingly using them in replacement of affordable, reliable and abundant conventional energy sources, while challenging the illusion of net-zero emissions in power generation.

In this field, he has presented his findings in more than 25 countries, have attended world-class conferences and several of his articles have been published in US mainstream energy and climate web journals. In 2025, he carried out an assessment report for Ireland based on its energy transition program and published his book "To 'NCRE' or not to 'NCRE', that is the question", which exhibits the fundamentals of renewables and the harmful impact in Western nations that have used them up to a level of saturation.

Douglas Pollock is the Clintel Foundation’s ambassador for Chile and a member of the CO2 Coalition.
