Roy W. Spencer is a principal research scientist for the University of Alabama in Huntsville and the U.S. Science Team Leader for the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer (AMSR-E) on NASA’s Aqua satellite. In the past, he was a Senior Scientist for Climate Studies at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, where he and Dr. John Christy received NASA’s Exceptional Scientific Achievement Medal for their global temperature monitoring work with satellites. He has provided congressional testimony several times on the subject of global warming.
Dr. Spencer’s research has been entirely supported by U.S. government agencies: NASA, NOAA, and DOE. He has never been asked by any oil company to perform any kind of service. Not even Exxon-Mobil.

He’s also the author of the The Bad Science and Bad Policy of Obama’s Global Warming Agenda (2010), The Great Global Warming Blunder: How Mother Nature Fooled the World’s Top Climate Scientists (2012), An Inconvenient Deception: How Al Gore Distorts Climate Science and Energy Policy (2017), and Inevitable Disaster: Why Hurricanes Can’t Be Blamed On Global Warming (2017).
