PANEL 3B: FOSSIL FUELS AND WORLD PEACE

The prosperity that fossil fuels makes possible, including helping produce food for a growing global population, is a major reason the world is a more peaceful place. Where climate has been a factor in war and peace, it has been cooling rather than warming that appears to have triggered wars.

Steps taken by the U.S. military to prepare for significant man-made climate change are unnecessary, wasteful of taxpayer dollars, and compromise military preparedness.
